motivation percent: 75%
total workout time since May 1: 393 minutes and 54 seconds.
total calories burned: 3004

tonights workout:off (there will be plenty of walking at dorney park).
im going to have to be careful (we are leaving in 20 mins) and watch what i eat.  try not to over do it.  the suckiest part about this entire thing is that my period just started yesterday, so im crampy and will be needing to use the bathroom every 2 hours or so (had to run up to the store to get super tampons, which i dont really like using).
time to go to an amusement park with a 13 year old (he isnt getting there until after 1pm) we opted out of the band playing cause that would have meant leaving at 6:45am.  so instead we are leaving at 11am to meet him at the park.

May 10: trip to dorney park (an amusement park) to see step son's marching band play (tickets purchased)
May 11: dedication ceremony (work function)
May 11: girls night/game night (this will be a food challenge, cause there are always yummy foods around and i cannot say no)

May 31 9am: endocrinologist appointment

Scheduled (May 8): gym
actual: 30 minutes on the treadmill, follwed by another 20ish minutes on the arc machine (i dont know what it is really some type of ellipitcal/gazelle thing).

motivation percent: 75%
total workout time since May 1: 332 minutes and 0 seconds.
total calories burned: 2503

tonights workout: 30 day shred level 1?  i think.  followed by dance central 3 and walk it out.
so yesterday i get home from work just in time for large rain drops to be hitting the new grass in my backyard (i was out there with the puppy waiting for her to sniff every inch of the backyard to find the place that calls for her to pooh or pee on it) and we heard thunder rumblings, i was telling the puppy (her name is kira) that we'd better get inside that pepper (my black and white cat, which is kira's baby or so she thinks) is making it thunder AGAIN.  any time it thunders kira barks at pepper.  I am not sure why she thinks that the cat is doing it, but whatever.  so we rush inside for it to start pouring down,  it even hailed for a good 10 minutes
look at this pic for proof
it was like 60 some degrees outside yesterday. that is hail. not snow.  i picked up handful of it from the front yard and put it on the kitchen floor for kira to inspect (she decided it was not food).  the hail was freaking out my little grey cat (kreacher).  he was poofed for the longest time.  poor little guy.
my brother stopped by to grab some more pool equipment from me (no pool means i dont need it anymore-by the way that is my filter on the back porch, its going away, its just the size of a child.  their big truck is in the shop, or at least i think today they are picking it up).  anyway he asked me why i put soap on the lawn, cause that is what the hail looked like.   im like NO it was hailing here.  then when he went to the backyard he saw what i pictured above and was like when did this happen?  (at 4:30 by the way).
anyway i hate it when my brother says he is coming over. he called me at 4:30 to ask me if he could have the pool equipment, which i said sure. so he was on his way.  he didnt show up until 6pm.  seriously dude?  he lives maybe 15 minutes away.  it was a good thing he came over, cause i paid him for cutting the lawn this upcoming weekend (since i won't be home).  i told him id leave the garage door opener out for him, he is going to cut the lawn sunday.  which my husband and i will be at his grandmas celebrating mothers day-and little known fact, my brother doesnt talk to my mother (family drama, but my mom left when i was 8 and my little bro was 3, so he doesnt really know her).
in other news: i asked to leave early today, like half a day.  my boss is ok with it as long as i can at least try to get the mail and deposit any checks that comes in, which since it is so close to the beginning of the month i doubt we would get money for pool service.  I am off work tomorrow for dorney park (did i mention that the competetion starts at 8am and it is over an hour away? looks like a 6:45am leaving time).  my husband keeps trying to tell me ill get a breakfast sandwhich and a coffee drink out of it but i think i like my breakfast sandwhiches more than the ones at wawa (i eat jimmy deans delights the bagel with egg whites and turkey sausage).  wawa sells some type of healthy one but, eh.  not to mention an entire box of jimmy deans is 4.69 and one breakfast sandwhich is 3.00 or so at wawa.

Wednesday

Upcoming events:
May 10: trip to dorney park (an amusement park) to see step son's marching band play
May 11: dedication ceremony (work function)
May 11: girls night/game night (this will be a food challenge, cause there are always yummy foods around and i cannot say no)
May 12: mothers day (plans are now a buffet lunch near grandmas with my inlaws)
May 31 9am: endocrinologist appointment

Scheduled (May 7): 30 day shred level 3, dance central 3 and walk it out
actual: 30 day shred level 3, dance central 3 and walk it out

level 3 of the 30 day shred is mostly floor work.  but there is one cardio interval where you do the exercises with the weights.  i could not do jumping jacks with 6 lbs on each arm.  and the punches were much slower than the people on the tv were doing.

i was starting to think about what i am going to do in June for my workouts.  I know that i could probably cut 20 minutes off my workout if i was to not do walk it out, but its a fun little game that i enjoy, my heart rate just isnt that high while "just" walking. walking is a great workout.

im debating on only doing the weight portions of the 30 day shred and cut out the cardio portion (im not going to lose my muscle tone).  i have the EA active (1 and 2) that i could use, that sets a schedule for me. i also am still a member at the Y, that has tons of free classes i can attend any time i want (ok cant do it while at work).  for a while i was really into zumba, then i started not liking the one instructor and the other instructors classes would be FULL.  so i got annoyed and stopped going.
motivation percent: 75%
total workout time since May 1: 269 minutes and 37 seconds.
total calories burned: 2003

anyway today is a rainy day.  we need this rain, we had a really dry April (not normal for the philly area, normaly in april it is so wet that mushrooms just grow out of the grass).

tonights workout: gym for 500 calories.

schedule

Upcoming events:
May 10: trip to dorney park (an amusement park) to see step son's marching band play
May 11: dedication ceremony (work function)
May 11: girls night/game night (this will be a food challenge, cause there are always yummy foods around and i cannot say no)
May 12: mothers day (plans are now a buffet lunch near grandmas with my inlaws)
May 31 9am: endocrinologist appointment

Scheduled (May 6): off
actual: none

no heart rate monitor pic to show, cause i didnt work out.  i actually over ate by at least 300 calories yesterday. but you know what, sometimes that happens.  get over it already.

i believe tonight is a 30 day shred level 3, dance central 3 and walk it out kind of night.  which means, my favorite type of workout, the type where you dont wear shoes!!!  ok so maybe once in a while my feet hurt while doing level 1 of the shred anyway.

motivation percent: 25% very low today, feeling a bit cranky/crampy.  i do not plan on failing.  :)

other random stuff that i post:
total workout time since May 1: 192 minutes and 43 seconds.
total calories burned: 1,502
didnt have to change it from last time

so the reason im here to write today is about my schedule.  i work monday through friday 8 am until 4pm.  but my days are made up of me waiting to eat my next meal (yeah ive been like this since i first started watching what i ate back in my 20's. nothing new. im actually shocked that my all time high weight was only 219.5ish).
so this is my schedule at work
8am: clock in, talk to bossman about what he needs me to do
8:15am: heat up breakfast sandwhich (jimmy deans delights). heat up coffee if i have it (sometimes i drink milk, lately ive been spending a fortune on frappucinos), eat breakfast do some work
10am: time for a banana
Noon: time to eat lunch, ive been trying to make this a left over from the night before.  it varies depending on what we ate.  my back up lunch is usually a lean pocket (spinage and something or other, in a preztel crust).
2pm: snack time!!! this week it is strawberries (i like them to be room temperature so they sit out on my desk all day long, bonus they smell wonderful).
sometimes there is a 3pm snack break in there too.  i have trail mix in my desk, or this week i have purchased something new to try.  yeah ill review that in a second.
4pm: go home!!!
(once i am home i allow myself to have 2 reeces peanut cups.  why 2? cause one wasn't cutting it and i felt like 3 was too many.  they are 44 calories each, so its only 88 cals for both and it keeps me somewhat happy until dinner time-which is more like 6:30pm)

so yeah i want to type about my unsatifying snack i got.  i took a pic of it.  no one sent me this, no one asked me for a review, but its a new product and id rather not have any other calorie counters out there go hungry cause they purchased them.

just in case you cant see what they are, they are special k brownie bites.  they are small. and that was all that were in the package for 100 calories. i felt like i needed to eat 3 bags of them just to satisfy my chocolate craving (i did not, they are in my desk and will be eaten, cause well i paid for them-but ever purchased again).
the brownies besides there being almost none in there, were tastey but id say id rather eat one of those pastry crisps from special k over these.  at least that is somewhat satisfying (and i believe only 90 calories).
ive had "diet" brownies before (vita tops anyone?) that were good and tastey and satisfying (although a little expensive).
so not worth whatever i paid for them (i want to say on sale for 2.99).  i think there were 5 or 6 packages in the box.

weekend

Upcoming events:
May 10: trip to dorney park (an amusement park) to see step son's marching band play
May 11: dedication ceremony (work function)
May 11: girls night/game night (this will be a food challenge, cause there are always yummy foods around and i cannot say no)
May 12: mothers day (plans are now a buffet lunch near grandmas with my inlaws)
May 31 9am: endocrinologist appointment

actual: none

scheduled (may 3rd): 30 day shred level 1, dance central 3, walk it out.
actual: 30 day shred level 1, dance central 3, walk it out.
i upped my weights, i thought i was using 6 lb weights, but no they are 6 lbs together, so 3 lbs.  so i upped them to the next weights-so now they are 6 lb each, and OMG the workout is freaking hard with 6 lb weights.  of course im talking about the 30 day shred.  it also causes my heart rate to sky rocket during the weight lifting parts.  i figure it will get easier over time.
scheduled (may 4th): gym (i stopped saying what i need to do. cause sometimes i hate the treadmill).
actual: gym (treadmill for 30 minutes, rower for 1000 meters and ellipitcal for the rest of the time)

Scheduled (may 5): 30 day shred level 2, dance central 3 and walk it out.
actual: 30 day shred level 2, dance central 3 and walk it out.   maybe one day ill get a 100% on some song.  i forget how to do the song, even ones that im good at i just forget what is next.
motivation percent: 80%, i kind of had a feeling of OMG may 31 is a long way away.  then i remembered that at one point in time april 30 was a long ways away.
anyway
i want to keep track of these (remember i schedule two days off per week, rest is good for a body.  cant workout 7 days a week)
total workout time since May 1: 192 minutes and 43 seconds.
total calories burned: 1,502
tomorrows workout is a scheduled day off (i was shocked to read it off my calender).

May challenge phase 1.2

Upcoming events:
May 10: trip to dorney park (an amusement park) to see step son's marching band play
May 11: dedication ceremony (work function)
May 12: mothers day (plans are now a buffet lunch near grandmas with my inlaws)
May 31 9am: endocrinologist appointment

since im calling this phase 1.2, im going to stick to the same schedule.  i wrote it up last night really quick before work.  i gave myself off yesterday and today (we are going to see iron man 3 at 9pm, since when is a midnight release at 9pm?)
this is what was written in april

So i started this April challenge yesterday, i have to workout according to the calender on my fridge and burn 500 calories each time.  my calorie goal is around 1400 a day (normally im around 1700).
my workouts include either going to my gym or a bunch of videos and gaming systems.  last night workout was 30 day shred level 1, followed by dance central 3 (happened to be the 70's playlist), then walk it out until i reach 500 calories.

so obviously it morphed a bit.  May challenge.  1400 calories is a good number, 500 calories per workout is good too.  instead of writing down what to do at the gym i just wrote gym.  sometimes i just dont want to walk on the treadmill.  the days at home are still going to consist of the 30 day shred and i do it every other day and i move between levels.  dance central 3 is still going to be dance central 3 (technically i have all dance central games imported into dance central 3, so i have a lot of songs to choose from) and walk it out is a game that i got for my balance board years ago, its a silly game where you collect steps (as points) then click on items that have different values to unlock what the entire island looks like.  some of the songs are so silly.
my husband makes fun of me for using all 3 gaming systems in a workout.  i use the playstation to play the DVD of 30 day shred, then the xbox for dance central 3 and the wii for the walk it out game (those of course are all of the current versions of a gaming system, my husband and step son are huge gamers-i always get the systems confused) the only non updated one is the Wii, we dont have the Wiii U cause apparently there are almost no games for it.  i heard it is flopping anyway?
i like gaming, to a point.  it doesnt RUN my entire life.

anyway no workout to report. yesterday was a cheat day ,but today is back to normal.
