I am pretty sure I lost followers. I got a bit busy. To summarize:
June of 2014: Felt sick, took a pregnancy test (we had been trying to get pregnant since we got married in Oct 2010, so I have taken a few in my life time). The first test was negative, weird. I walked a 5K in memory of my friend's mother who died in a house fire. I thought maybe allergies were just kicking my butt. A few days go by, I am sore from the 5K walk. This time I went out at lunch time and got a digital pregnancy test, my pee barely hits the test and it flashes PREGNANT.

I called and found a new gyno (mine seems to think that no one should be over weight! sorry dude, not everyone is meant to weigh 95 lbs like she does). I was able to get in a few weeks later. We saw a heart beat on the ultra sound a little over 7 weeks. Things were great. I was still sick but at least I knew why (I had all day morning sickness). I was counting down the days until I should have felt relief.

August 5 2014: I had my first visit with the new OB. She has a medical student with her (asks for my permission, sure I don't mind). The wand touches my stomach, she asks for my dates again (due date was Feb 28th) asked how sure I was of those dates. Then sends me off to the hospital (across the street) for a better ultrasound machine, but do not worry. I end up sending a text to my husband that something is up, he better meet me at the hospital. He calls me and says he is leaving now, I break down. He says not to worry.

I am watching the tech with the ultrasound machine check my dates, ask me how sure I am. She stops talking, she is taking measurements. She puts her cold hand on mine and says "I'm sorry" the rest is a blur. I know she said more. I thanked her for her time and she let my husband and I have some alone time in the dark room. I cried. We cried. The ultrasound tech wanted a 2nd opinion and was going to ask her supervisor to look over the data, just to be sure. She sent us back over to my OBs office, where I was ushered into one of those waiting rooms. I was given options 1) wait it out 2) have a D&E 3) take some type of medicine to help my body recognize the baby had passed (I should mention that the baby made it to 8 weeks 6 days before he/she passed away, I should have been closer to 11 weeks).

The OB comes in and gives encouraging words. I let her know that it took 4 years to get pregnant and I don't have time to wait that long, she suggested medicine if I didn't get pregnant by a year.

I have a D&E that day. I just remember waking up and crying. Why was it fair that someone who does everything they are supposed to can't stay pregnant meanwhile drug users get to have 50 kids.

We were told to wait 3 cycles and then we can get back to trying.

November 2014: BACK ON. I won't go into detail about this. I remember feeling a little sick at thanksgiving time. But I thought it was in my head. I took a test black Friday, I woke up my husband asking if he saw two lines just like I did. Yes he did. I cannot believe I got pregnant the first month we tried.

November 2014- July 2015: Horrible morning sickness (all day), I was high risk due to advanced maternal age (Due to being 35 at time of delivery), I had high levels of amniotic fluid, I had anxiety due to having the previous loss and I had a sweet fibroid that was growing right along side of her. We found out at 13 weeks pregnant, the baby was a girl (genetic blood testing, checks for sex and a few abnormal things). She was due August 10, 2015.

Good news: I gained 27 lbs while pregnant. The goal was 25 lbs. I consider that a win.

My sweet baby girl was born July 30, 2015 after 22 minutes of pushing (and about 27 hours of labor). Her name is Lydia Rose. 18" and 7 lbs 5.8 oz.

Currently she is a 10 month old who is READY TO GO. She started crawling a few weeks ago and is now working on her way to standing up.

At the end of April I rejoined Weight Watchers. I am currently down 13 lbs.

I was lucky to be able to drop the pregnancy weight within a few weeks of having her. Unfortunately breast feeding made me super hungry and I gained some back. I stopped breast feeding at 9 weeks (well I was pumping from 6 weeks on due to a hospital stay for the baby).

I will come back and write about the newer weight watchers smart points system. Along with the new stuff I see on the app.

You might remember me. Jaime, 34 year old woman who works for a living with a husband and a 14 year old step son. You know, the one that used to blog about weight loss complete with charts and graphs from Weight Watchers.

In all serious-ness. I have been Struggling (yes with a capital S) Probably since Oct. I gain a few pounds, I lose a few pounds. This morning I find myself at 189.4 lbs. But wait, wasn't I around 182. Yes, yes. I am not anymore.

So recommitted myself to this journey, this was actually Tuesday when I stopped on the scale and saw 192.2. Yes I know that isn't real weight. I have a theory though. Nyquil must be 700 points per 2 oz serving (OK so I admit I call it a shot of nyquil, I am not a drinker, every time I take the nyquil my ears get warm-I remember those feelings from back when I was in my 20's*).

So let me catch you up from the last time I wrote. I remember writing about the 3 day power outage. That sucked. We stayed at my in laws house, which is just over an hour away from our house. They surprisingly didn't get the same snow storm/ice storm that we got. The roads were clear. I want to say that was back in February. The house is fine. No real damage, one of the floor boards, or side boards, on the stairs came partially away from the wall, but not too bad. I think my cat, Kreacher, was super angry with me for all of 3 minutes (he is a lover night a fighter). Unfortunately for the cats, they were not invited to the in laws, so they got to stay in a house that was 34 degrees. The dog was with us, since she has no belly fur to be found and even wore her puppy coat, that was the day she came to work with me.

I ended up with what my boss referred to as "the flu" in March. I am not sure if it was the flu but I was pretty sick. Since I cannot miss work on Fridays due to weekly payroll I came in super cold medicine medicated. My boss was holding conversations with me and I was just spaced out. I warned him I was sick.

Then I had a few weeks where I was fine. Then I had my birthday!!! The day after my birthday I started feeling run down again. 2nd cold!!! I am pretty sure I caught the first round of "the flu" from my husband, he was germy but never got as sick as I did. The 2nd cold from just last week-a complete mystery. Remember that I work with my bossman. That is who I see often, he is almost never sick. Yes I probably picked up cold number 2 from being out and about.

So that catches you up to last week. I am feeling 99% better. I think the last 1% is just allergy related.

I restarted my assessment with my activelink. For a few months I was hitting the goals like crazy. Then it just became too hard, which I am sure it was the fact that I lost 25 lbs, so getting to the goal was harder because you have to be more active to reach your old calorie burns. So I will not be working out this week. I think the assessment is over Tuesday or Wednesday.

I hope to post something on here Friday (my official weigh in day for weight watchers).

I do want to say how happy I am that the sun is out and it is finally warming up. This has been one tough winter-I think from Jan until March I missed one day a week thanks to snow. It does not normally snow this much in southeastern pa.

*I have always been super responsible and mature (old) for my age. Even when I drank if i was planning on going anywhere I had a designated driver. Ask my friends about the time they got a ride home from a drunk guy, and how I went off, saying I was home and could have picked them up-that it is better to have a slightly ticked off friend and them safe, than them dying, I should mention we were probably in our early 20's when this happened.Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-12707555317256571132014-02-17T07:37:00.002-08:002014-02-17T07:37:55.759-08:00week 36 weigh in and Monday goalsTwo weeks ago: 184.8
This week: 185.8
gain of 1 lb

this is from friday. I need to start using this blog more. I tend to put it on the back burner when i have a not so good weigh in (i actually think i might have been down from last week, but i cant go back in time and weigh myself).

so anyway i want to start a list of goals, and check them out every monday and add new ones or adjust (or keep the same).

so im going to start simple, 2 goals

1) count points, stay within range, this might be a bit tricky this week since I took friday off since it was a holiday (i take holidays off from counting points cause really, it gets tedious after a while). currently i get 28 daily points. i eat all of my points (including activity)

2) workout 5 days this week. i need to rewrite that schedule, but it shouldn't be undoable, ok so friday is the start of my week and i didnt work out on friday (once again due to the holiday). So far i worked out Saturday and Sunday. 3 more days to go. I want to utimately aim for 7 points a week on my active link report. as of yesterday i was at 2. Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-36462623379833379922014-02-07T08:41:00.000-08:002014-02-07T08:41:16.252-08:00no weigh in this weekok so I have no access to a scale and no control over what I eat (ok well portion sizes are in my control). why you ask?

http://www.dailylocal.com/general-news/20140207/peco-update-outages-now-down-to-285000

PECO is my electric company. I live in chester county (south eastern pa somewhat near philly) and we had a bunch of snow two weeks ago (13 inches). then another 3 or so inches just this week. so then we were expecting more snow followed by ice on Wednesday. so I go to bed saying, thankfully we haven't lost power.

famous last words. I woke up at 4am cause im seeing flashes of lights. it is dark in the house (but it should be at 4am) and the puppy is upset. a giant tree branch fell and landed on the power lines and the shed two houses over. we have been without power since 4am Wednesday.

I have a house with everything electric, no fireplace, no woodburning stove, nothing to heat it if the electric is out. I also have well water (which is super common where I live, but not everywhere) so no power = no water once we lose prime (suction).

so it got cold in the house. wait. it is still cold in the house. plus the original numbers for chester county reported by peco was something like they service 217,000 homes, and 183,000 of them were without power. seriously?

so you say, but Jaime you have a ton of pets, where are they? Puppy has been traveling with me, we went to work yesterday (also no power, but located in Delaware county) they had generators going along with this scary propane heater (they also gave me a slightly less scary propane heater but still scary). the birds went to my cousin's house, she happened to be one of the lucky few with power,I took a shower at her house on Wednesday. apparently the birds are entertaining the kids and my cousins. my other cousin (her sister) lives a street over from the cousin with power and is without power, so they have been living with the cousin with power. (im sure the cousin without power still has to go to work, since she works for the hospital).

so that leaves 3 poor kitties at home. :( they will be fine, its been slightly warmer outside lately. we left a lot of laundry in baskets for them to sleep in (ok so I never got around to folding it, but cats love clean laundry)

I have my neighbors watching the house for me, my husband checks on the cats when he goes to work and feeds them.

so they are predicting our power will be back on by sunday at 11pm. nuts.

so im trying to not freak out about this. there is nothing I can do. I took today off work so I didn't have to make the journey back to PA (we are staying with the in laws). I was at the house yesterday running the scary heater (my niece for Christmas a few years ago gave me a carbon monoxide detector-normally I have nothing in my house that causes that, but I hooked that baby up and was like thanks for that gift!!!) and went to my friends house that is one street over (also no power but she has public water, so she filled up 3 buckets of water for me to flush my toilets).

so my in laws have been feeding us. which is super nice of them, but they make giant meals. how are they not 400 lbs? so I haven't been tracking, I haven't been weighing myself either or even getting to the gym. so lets hope im not doing too much damage.

so yesterday I finally got my laptop hooked up and plugged in my activelink, I had 3 points. LOL that is how much running around I did. nuts.

currently im at my in laws house, with the puppy (I have an upstairs puppy and a downstairs puppy, cause both puppies are BAD dogs and try to bite each other). kira is the downstairs puppy. she even went to work with me yesterday. :)

so prepping for the cold for a few days, we unplugged all electronics (we are thinking power surges). we also drained the rest of the water out of the taps (hoping that the pipes wont freeze burst). today my husband went and shut off circuit breakers that are doubled up (I think those are oven, well, dryer, ac)

anyone else have any ideas on how to winterize my home? please send positive vibes/pray for us to get power back soon and for the electric crews to be safe. Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-73237326145109795312014-01-31T12:06:00.000-08:002014-01-31T12:06:21.719-08:00week 34
Last week 186.0
This week: 184.8
loss of 1.2 lb

sweet loss this week. :) ill take it. not much to report. yesterday was a tough eating day, i wanted to throw the towel in and say NO and just end up weighin 400 lbs. but i ended up playing some Wii U (Pikimen 3, by the way i love that game, i dont think a 33 year old woman is their target market) and the urge for ice cream/sugar/chocolate/bread dipped in olive oil disappeared.

I am only showing 2 activity points earned this week. not sure what is going on. im doing my same workouts, minus the 5K on saturday *but im still walking for 30 minutes, so it should be 4 points vs 2 points, but i showed no points.

I need to figure this active link thing out better, i mean lets say i walk for 30 minutes and get 0 points but i get 1 point if i walk for 33 minutes, id rather add the 3 minutes and get to eat that lovely point. plus i know with my weigh loss that it is harder to earn any points. (to the weight watchers online forums!!)

so anyway, starting tomorrow im doing 30 day shred rotations, I will take measurements and pics (? if my husband will cooperate, he has been getting upset about the massive amount of dietbet pics he needs to take, even though im not anywhere near my target) my goal is to do one 30 day shred workout each day of feb. this is in addition to my normal workouts (which i have a rotation of those too).

anyway happy super bowl sunday to everyone. i personally am going out to dinner with my one buddy (dont worry he is gay and my husband loves him). we might catch a movie too. cause i do not care about sports at all (not even the olympics, which my buddy LOVES). my husband will be at home watching the game. (funny side story, last year i didnt make plans, so i just up and left and went to see a movie to get away from football, the streets were entirely empty, i was the only one at the theater besides the people that worked there, and i saw silver lining playbook. LOL so i left football to see a movie that had football in it).Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-40911854416685274592014-01-28T09:57:00.000-08:002014-01-28T09:57:43.184-08:00weigh in 33Week 33: weigh in date 1/24/14
Last week 185.6
This week: 186.0
gain of 0.4 lb

This was a weigh in from friday. i wish i could write that i had NO clue why i gained weight, but i do have a GIANT idea. maybe its all that snacking/cheating ive been doing.

but anyway last week i made up a workout plan and stuck it to my fridge. it brings me to the end of jan (it is my normal workout routine, just written down, oh i did replace one gym day with a Wii fit day, since im a fan of the Wii fit, i know do it on fridays). so far i have been doing them. i gave up on the doing the 5k every saturday, now i just do 30 minutes on the treadmill (a 5K was taking me 52 minutes or so).

i did not hit my target number of activity points. but im working towards that. my target is 7 points per week.

i think starting in Feb im going to start rotating around my 30 day shred and do a 30 day challenge (or 28 days, whatever). id like to retain some muscle. I would also like to really track how many inches i have lost.

i have a NSV to report. i saw my one cousin for the first time since july and she was like WHOA look at you, what have you been doing. i did tell her that ive been kind of stuck since the holidays happened and she was like that is because you are related to me. LOL. my cousin at one point (she was pregnant with her 2nd baby) weighed 330 lbs. she has lost a ton of weight, she is more or less a size or two larger than me now (yes she lost weight, then she got a divorce and found new love, and gained some back. oh and the way she lost the weight? restricting her calories like crazy-not a healthy way. for example she would work out to burn 500 calories, but she wouldnt only every eat 500 calories. im not saying she did it the right way).

i told her i was doing weight watchers again.

So I hope to keep checking those workouts off of my print out and keep it up. i know if i stick to my points and workout that i will lose weight. i just need to trust the process.
last week: 187.8
this week:189.2
gain of 1.4 lb

Week 32: weigh in date 1/17/14
Last week 189.2
This week: 185.6
loss of 3.6

i feel like i should be blogging more often than once every other week. for week 31 i was on track until wednesday night then i just said nah and ate what i wanted.

for week 32, i opted to actually track my points and attempt to stay on track. i was still cheating left and right but was able to drop 3.6 lbs.

i hate to admit that i was cheating, and i need to stop that. i have better results when im following the WW plan. also last week i was really lazy, and i opted to not go to the gym all week. i could blame my husband for part of that but in reality, how hard is it to get to the gym for 30 minutes?

my goal for activity is to get 7 points this week. (i was not even close for last week).

im having a slight gym issue. its really nothing. but there is this guy who comes in with a duffel bag, he plops the bag down and does his working out. but he does weird working out. and just creeps me out (he kind of looks like he is homeless or hasnt shopped for new clothes since the 1980s). he has never said anything to me. but today while i was on the treadmill, he hopped on the one next to me (the entire two rows of treadmills were open, why next to me?) and proceeded to walk backwards on the treadmill. (this was after wiping down the machine and drinking some water). so i just did 30 minutes and bolted. ive also seen this guy walk on the treadmill and jump off and leave the treadmill running at like 2.0 mph. then jump back on it. what i dont get is why? i mean ive seen people doing speed work with running do that, but never so slow.

this kind of reminds me of my old gym, when i was unemployed i would go at 1pm to workout. there was a guy with turrets that would work out with a personal trainer. so lets say i was wearing a purple shirt, the guy would just start yelling PURPLE!! you could tell he wasnt just joking around that he had some type of mental issue. so i just learned to tune him out.

Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-18130856235658913672014-01-08T11:31:00.001-08:002014-01-08T11:31:11.111-08:00catching up on weigh ins (29 and 30)first let me just get this out of the way

Week 29: weigh in date 12/27/13
last week: 182.8
this week:185.0
gain of 2.2 lb

Week 30: weigh in date 1/3/14
Last week 185.0
This week: 187.8
gain of 2.8

so yep, read that and know i suck. gain of 5 pounds over two weeks. this is what i call lack of motivation. it is my fault. I just do not know moderation when it comes to eating, luckily for me there are very few holidays coming up. (by the way i have no wanting to ever end the holidays are entire cheat days, no counting. yes i will always be an inner fat girl, even if im skinny on the outside).

So other than that motivation has been super down low. I had a doc appointment (endocrinologist) which went very well, but I don't think I wrote about it (dec 30th was the date). Basically besides a slightly higher than normal cholesterol (but it is lower for me, she thinks it is just genetic and maybe if i get down a few more pounds that it would go even lower the number is 252 for the total). my blood sugars are rocking, 94 fasting, which last time it was 99 and the time before that it was in the 104-106 range. while im not a diabetic, my father was a type 1 (diagnosed at the age of 6) and i am diagnosed with hashimoto's disease, which is an autoimmune disorder, and once you have one autoimmune disorder you are more prone to others. the number she was super impressed with was my insulin number. originally when i first started seeing her back in 2008 i was at 22.0, last time i was 9.9, which puts me at the high end of normal. she said 5 is the ultimate healthy number and that is what im aiming for.

all of my other numbers are perfectly within range. even my TSH number (which is the reason why i see her) is good (1.0 is my sweet spot, i was at 1.03 or something).

i flat out told her that since the last time i saw her (in september) that i have probably felt the best that i have felt in a long time. that was when she started going back into her computer for my records and telling me how far i have come. she even told me that im doing great with the weight loss and to keep it up (without my prompting her like last time) i did ask her if she had the confetti ready and was going to do cartwheels. (i love this doc by the way, she is so cool).

I did ask her a question about something i read on the internet (i tell her that i ask her these questions because i dont know if everything you read on the internet is true). anyway im sure others have read articles that state that steady state cardio is putting women into a hypothyroid state. (ok i had to explain this to a friend of mine, so just running on the treadmill for a certain period of time is steady state cardio). so my doc was like yes that is correct, but that is more for people who are working out for like 6 hours at a time, like Olympic athletes. i was like well i dont plan on doing more than an hour at the gym, so im good, and she said correct.

by the way my doc probably thinks im a bit on the nutty side. a while ago i read that jillian michaels master your metabolism book, which jillian michaels is hypothyroid (without medicine). so she (or the doc that wrote the book with her, not sure which one) mentioned staying away from certain veggies, cause they contain hormones in them that can hurt the thyroid-soy is one of these products too. one of these veggies falls into my fave foods ever, BRUSSELS SPROUTS. so i asked her if i had to stop eating them. she did tell me to limit it to 3 times a week but other than that im good. also im not supposed to seek out soy (if it is in something that i already eat, fine, but dont go buying soy burgers there are other options).

so how many of her patients does she have to limit the amount of brussels sprouts servings? probably just me.

besides the doc appointment where everything was wonderful, i lost my activelink for a few days. like couldnt find it anywhere. i ordered a new one on thursday (the first day back to work) and found it thursday after work (in the washer of all places). unfortunately i couldnt cancel my order :( so now i have two of these things. i figure that ill just hold on to it, at some point i will lose this one (FOREVER) and have a backup. or if a friend of mine admits to doing WW i might be like hey want this? i know my friend sarah does WW but i think she does it at meetings, not sure how that works.

so my goal for active link is 7 points per week. I will start reporting on that soon. also since because i hit that higher number im back to 29 points per day. (i really need to shape up when it comes to counting, ive been eyeballing things and taking small bites and not counting. that is what leads to me not losing weight.

also my endocrinologist made a comment that the next time id see her id be into the 180s (i think i was just at 190 on her scale, that was after breakfast and i was fully clothed, the ones you see are before my shower in the am and no clothing). i see her again on june 30. so i hope to blow that out of the water and be 179 or less (6 months right?) this week: 182.8
loss of 0.6

i did not hit my goal of 7 activity points earned, i got 5. not sure where i missed the mark on that one.

still not posting my graphs and charts from WW. just not in the mood lately. i kind of feel like im just going through the motions and my heart isnt into this whole losing weight dieting/healthy living space right now. doesnt mean im giving up. my goal is to get through the holidays with no gain (a loss would be nice)

i know motivation comes and goes. i love seeing that im down 25.8 lbs. but i dont FEEL like im down that much . i still feel like i weigh 208 lbs. heck i still feel like i weigh 220 lbs (my highest weight that i know of, there were years i didnt have a scale).

it is a little daunting to know that my goal weight is still over 25 lbs away. (im aiming for 155, of course if i hit 160 and feel like im good ill stop. i want to be fit, not just thin).

im hoping the motivation returns and i kick butt in the new year. maybe i should call it beast mode for the month of jan. i have a few things im kind of not looking forward to, such as the new years resolutioners. i go to the gym, i dont really wear matching outfits, i wear whatever is comfortable, but the gym bunnies will come in looking all cute and their clothes match and fit them properly. plus i joined a new gym, so im sure the appeal is even stronger than any normal year. (i do like my new gym by the way). sometimes im pulling my pants up while working out cause guess what they dont fit me the same as they did 25 lbs ago. sometimes i have a bleach mark on my pants, and i wear them to the gym cause who cares what i look like there?

so i hope in 2014 to start a strength training routine. i have done 30 day shred, maybe ill do it again? maybe just write it down and do the workout without having to hear jillian explain things (towards the end of the 30ds you will also be telling jillian to shut up, im sure of it).

there is not much else to report on the jaime front. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate, if not, insert whatever holiday you want there, happy new years too.

im off work starting monday after 4pm, until jan 2. so i have plenty of time to go to the gym and get to working out. ill try to come up with a real game plan for jan before i post next week. this week: 183.4
loss of 1.6

whoa i lost the same amount of weight that i did last week. WEIRD. ill take it. I am back at the weight i was 11/22 too. I think for every day i take off from my WW counting, i lose a week of time (i took off two days for thanksgiving, the day before and the day of). Let this be a lesson to me about the upcoming christmas holiday.

I do not feel like posting reports from WW today. I do want to tell you that i over used my points by 2 (as in negative 2 shows up on my app if i go to yesterday). you know, sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. overall, is 2 points over really going to hurt my weight loss? i mean look at my numbers this week? i think im doing ok.

I earned 11 activity points this week, ok so i did not plug my activelink in last night, so maybe 12. I take thursdays off from the gym, so probably not, but i did walk around the mall with my husband for a bit (xmas shopping for the family).

remember how i was so excited for my husband to be going to the gym with me? and how i had him pick days (sunday, monday and wednesdays) yeah he went a total of zero times this week (i go 4-5 times a week). but he has a (man) cold. he is sneezing like crazy. he might be picking up some weird shifts coming up soon, one of his supervisors (bosses? he has several of these, one has to be in the building at all times) was terminated, and he is the back up. so that means leaving work at 8pm some nights. he also applied for her position, so im afraid of what this shift might look like. i think the supervisors rotate so not everyone is working so late.

other news: we had two snow storms since i wrote last week. 1 sunday, and the second one all day tuesday. i actually was home for round 2 working on company holiday cards. it is nice not being essential personnel anymore (i used to be, where i had to come in for a few hours even if the roads were horrible). at this current job its a small company, if i dont do the work today, ill do it tomorrow. i call myself the office manager, but i think technically accounting assistant is in there too. we are expecting snow tomorrow too!!!

I may or may not do my 5K tonight, i havent been posting my times cause they are generally the same, maybe ill only post if i get a PR. or i could get up early tomorrow morning and go. I feel like since we went to NYC Last weekend that i barely had time to unwind last weekend.

I cannot believe how close christmas is. I rarely have christmas spirit (bah humbug) but that is what growing up on welfare does to a person. where christmas we got a pair of jeans or a video that we wanted (or more embarrassing, a bra at 5th grade xmas, to a tom boy with nothing but brothers this was the most embarrassing gift ever). i hope one day when i have a kid of my own, that i can find the joy in christmas again (oh and my step son figured out at the ripe age of 8 about the big guy with the beard, which made me sad, i wish his mother would have contacted us before revealing-then again i think she might have been put on the spot, it started out with the tooth fairy and lead to easter bunny and then santa). this week: 185.0
loss of 1.6

hey guys, sorry i never got around to updating on friday, i was a bit busy with work stuff. and you know they pay the bills...

so i lost weight but i had a super tough week. im hoping this week is more smooth. just had a lot of issues with being overly hungry, i blame it on ovulation.

i did reach my goal of hitting 7 activity points for the week. im actually at that number right now for this week (my weeks start on friday).

the reason for that is that we took a bus trip to NYC to see the rockettes show (ok i should mention that i have inherited my dad's hatred for cities-i dont even like philly, how did i think id ever like new york?). i have been there before, i saw the broadway show Equus back when the kid from Harry potter was on the show (yes i saw him naked along with a woman). if you should know one thing about me, its that im a giant harry potter fan, besides the guy who played uncle vernon on harry potter was also in the play and more of the main character than daniel radcliff.

so we had a few hours of time to shop NYC. i dont know if im spoiled, but when i go shopping i park my car (for free) in the lot in front of the store, so after i purchase something i put it in my car and go, not lug it around for hours on end. plus im from a place called west chester, pa, we have a zillion shopping places so close, if i really want to have fun with the crowds, id go to the king of prussia mall (the biggest worry there is getting the right exit for the road you want)

we had a wonderful lunch, but i was never told that we would be driving during dinner time (oh my in laws took us, along with my 13 year old step son, and my sister in law and her boyfriend) not to mention some random issue with the bus not being able to park and no one being able to find out where the bus was located for a good long time. there were 3 people who held up the bus for an additional 45 minutes from the time we got on the bus. i also lack an internal GPS, i get lost in the mall. there were such big crowds that it was just crazy. but the show was good. i little on the cheesey end but i think that is just the way it is supposed to be. during the dances i kept wondering how many calories those ladies are burning up.

so we hit some major traffic leaving the city. we got back to NJ (that is where my in laws live, over an hour away from us) and stopped at mcdonalds, where i debated on getting an entire meal. i stopped myself and was like just get me a cheeseburger happy meal with apple slices. so i got that and it filled me up. i looked up the point values this morning (cause i went right to bed) and it was 8 points for the cheeseburger. they gave me a super tiny thing of french fries and i gave them to my step son. i think between all of the items i ate on the trip (not that many but my lunch was high in points) that i sucked up all of my weeklies.

so i earned 3 activity points walking around NYC yesterday. i fell asleep on the bus twice (once on the way there and once on the way back) and this morning my lower back was angry at me.

i should mention that this trip has been planned since end of the summer. so on friday i went to the gym and did my 5K. maybe in a few days ill post the results. this time i actually ran a bit. i seem to have no stamina though. but like i said ive never been a runner (and im not sure i want to run).Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-6662641808162349282013-11-29T17:19:00.002-08:002013-11-29T17:19:42.996-08:00weigh in 25last week: 183.4
this week: 186.6
gain of 3.2

ok so i didnt track wednesday (after lunch) or thursday (ww online kind of sort of yelled at me, gave me a red exclamation point) and i was all about eating as much as i could. so yes i gained weight, but it is not REAL weight. not just yet. way back when i lost the weight the first time (didnt get to my goal before i gave up) i would take off on holidays, just to enjoy it and not freak out about how many calories/points/carbs i was eating.

im back on track today. feeling somewhat fooded out. (is that possible?) normally on fridays i blow my weeklies, but today im right at 29 points for the day (oh i got an extra point cause i went above whatever that threshold was).

so i did my 5k on saturday last week and earned 4 points. whoa, that is nuts. i dont recall what else i did on saturday (maybe shopping at sams club?)

my times (last week):
1 Mile: 16 mins 2 seconds
2 Mile: 17 mins 14 seconds
3 mile: 17 mins 30 seconds
last 0.11: 2 minutes 10 seconds
total time 52 minutes and 54 seconds

this week:
my times:
1 Mile: 15 mins 58 seconds
2 Mile: 16 mins 42 seconds
3 mile: 17 mins 01 seconds
last 0.11: 1 minutes 44 seconds
total time 51 minutes and 05 seconds shaved off 1 minute and 49 seconds from my first time.

like i stated last week, im not a runner (i have never been a runner/im not sure im cut out to be a runner). but im pretty happy with my time.

the 4 points i earned was my most points ever earned. so i was pretty happy about that. i eat my activity points (well this week i ate someone elses points too).

we did have good thanksgiving, the food was super yummy and family was super happy. that is all that matters (even my doggie got a to go plate from my MIL). i did rewatch the hunger games 2, my friends had invited me, and i was like YEP. but ive already seen it. and it was good the second time too.

lets hope next weeks weigh in is much less than it was last week.
See what i got today!?? YES. i was a little shocked when i saw i lost 1.4 lbs this week. i was like whoa. my eating has been better (aka i ran out of nutella and i have no restocked it, might be a good thing).

I also hit my goal of 7 activity points this week (9 actually). two days this past week i got 3 points. one was last friday, i was off work and worked out at the gym, not sure how i got 3 points, but ill take it. the other day i hit 3 points was monday, i was running around for work purposes getting plans ran off and i had to run over to acme to get girly products, so along with the gym i hit 3 points. my goal is still 7 points per week. I have been good about my scheduled workout days (taking off tuesdays and thursdays). also my husband has been almost sticking to his schedule (to go 3 days a week) one day he missed it cause he was sick and the other day he missed the gym thanks to his ex wife messing up our schedule (not picking up the step son on time). my goal is to keep up the 7 points per week until december is over. then i want to adjust.

so my points break down, 28 points per day, all weeklies and all activities eaten
Friday: 58
Saturday: 35
Sunday: 37
Monday: 31
Tuesday: 31
Wednesday: 32
Thursday: 30
total 254
average 36.3 points per day.

last week i was averaging 35. something points per day.

i also started this new thing at the gym, where im going to do a 5K every saturday. im not a runner, even in high school with the required 1 mile run (timed) i never got below 16 minutes (and yes i got in trouble, but my dad was even more lazy than me, so he didnt care). so i kept track of my info. this is just me writing it in my notepad on my ipod. so im walking the 5K.

my times:
1 Mile: 16 mins 2 seconds
2 Mile: 17 mins 14 seconds
3 mile: 17 mins 30 seconds
last 0.11: 2 minutes 10 seconds
total time 52 minutes and 54 seconds

the cals burned according to the treadmill was 309, but i think i didnt enter my weigh in until a bit later. plus i never trust those machines. i know that i can walk as fast as 4.2 miles per hour which 4.0 is a 15 minute mile. but i cant keep that up for long periods of time. so maybe that is what i will work towards? maybe i should do an entry on Saturday with the results of the 5k. or at least closer to the 5K day (saturday) Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-79577445724050809372013-11-15T12:22:00.002-08:002013-11-15T12:22:35.340-08:00weigh in number 23last week: 185.2
so i have some happy news to report, my gym opened early. i missed three days of it being open but that was 4 days earlier than i was going to go. it was an accident that i figured out it was open (as in my bird needed pellets and they only sell those at a pet store, so i went to the one next to the new gym and saw a giant sign that said no open!!!). so i have gone to the gym sunday, monday and wednesday. i plan on going today. so i did not hit my 7 points per week goal, but we are really going to try this week.

i am doing a bit better with my food this week, still having a lot of sugar cravings, im blaming hormones for this. this should all sort itself out in a few days. i also kind of screwed myself with eating most of my dailies over the weekend. i need to keep a few extra for things like a side with dinner.

i also have this new idea. so normally at 2pm i eat a special k pantry crisp, for 3 points. i discovered that a packet of instant oatmeal is 4 points. so i ate a packet of oatmeal yesterday instead of the pantry crisp and i was full until dinner time. so for one more point i get something that really fills me up.

i am off work today, for a nerd reason. we got a playstation 4. my husband has been watching all of the info and reading all of the articles. so i originally took today off to stand in line to get one somewhere. turns out the gamestop near my house had them for sale yesterday at 6pm, so my husband paid for it and came home. we then went to pick it up at midnight. everyone was so very nice to each other by the way. so as i should have just said i was coming in i opted to stay home. so we already went out to lunch together and have just been having a low key day.

so lets hope next week we see a much lower number. but i need to remember that paying attention to what i eat and it will pay off on the scale.Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-30415541467168328372013-11-08T17:28:00.001-08:002013-11-08T17:28:22.025-08:00weight watchers weigh in 22last week: 186.2
my weekly break down, 28 points per day, all activity points and all weeklies eaten

Friday: 56
Saturday: 40
Sunday: 35
Monday: 28
Tuesday: 29
Wednesday: 29
Thursday: 29
total: 246/average 35.1 points per day

so i dont deserve to lose that pound this week. (hey i am happy and will take it) but i have been horrible at the WW counting lately. I have been eating random things and not counting them. I havent really been working out (and yes im using the excuse that my new gym isnt open and i cancelled my Y membership as of Oct 31). the new gym opens nov 13. so that is wednesday. i need to refind my gym locks (i have two with the same exact combination, the question is can i remember it? i think i know it) the Y had lockers with a combo pad on it, so i stopped bringing my lock because i swore every time i was in the locker room a random naked woman would need to be in the locker next to mine (i might walk around in front of my husband minus clothes but never in public)

i plan to hit the ground running at the new gym. i want to attempt to get at least 1 point per day in December in activity. then move that up to 2 points in Jan. i think overall id like to aim for around 4 points per day (at least an average). i think that is pretty healthy. plus id have killer amounts of snacks for 4 points. id also like to try new classes at the gym, maybe once a week.

i do feel a little more motivated than i did last week, but still i for some reason have been super snacky lately. and the left over halloween candy is not helping matters. but i need to remember that while i may be on weight watchers, my husband and step son arent (step son is super skinny too, he actually will turn down candy a lot of the times, i grew up a chubby kid, i never said no to a candy).

oh so im going to post this photo, i posted it to facebook a few days ago. and i got a ton of compliments about how skinny i look.

so my husband took this photo cause i put a scarf on kira and said we were twins, i got a lot of compliments on how much i have lost. (23.4 lbs as of today from my start of WW this past june). and yes enjoy my sweet outfit, i was chilly. oh my kitchen is gross (carpet on the floor?? in the kitchen?) i inherited my house from my dad in 2005 (with a small mortgage-for this area anyway) then i had to pay inheritance tax on it ($12,000-yes that many zeros). slowly i have made improvements but sometimes when things are function-able, they dont need to be changed (such as the carpeting in the kitchen).

my friend that does my hair tells me that im losing it strictly in my belly, she is a health nut (did a full ironman in july but when i met her years ago she was this really big lady-she claimed to have weighed 230 lbs, she is really short, she says she weighs 135 now) said that the reason im losing in my belly is that is where you hold onto weight when you eat junk food. so she doesnt know exactly what i eat, but i still eat junk food (she is one of those people that would tell you that diets dont work, that you need a lifestyle change, meanwhile she lost a majority of her weight doing a liquid/fasting diet for the longest time, that was before she got healthy). so i just said thank you.

i sometimes get unsolicited dieting advice, which i always listen to what they say, then i do my own thing (who doesnt?) i mean weight watchers is working for me, so im not going to change it. plus we already saw with my last doc appointment that my blood sugars were within the normal range. so its obviously working inside of my body.

see this pic? its not mine. taken from the internets. i saw it somewhere (myfitnesspal?) when someone was complaining about losing weight but not losing inches, they asked where the weight was coming off, a person posted this pic saying something along the lines of it comes out of the internal organs first. now i dont know if this is the same person. or just a side by side of two people at different sizes, but the overall idea is good. so lets hope that im losing from my internal organs (i was told a zillion years ago that i had a fatty liver-who wants to be told that?). so ive been having a rough week. it is ovulation week, not sure if that is part of it. ive been feeling a bit defeated lately. and yes you can see i went over by 2 points. and im sure i went over by that, with what weight watchers called BLTs (bites, licks and taste). plus as of midnight I am no longer a member of my gym (cancelled due to joining a new gym that isnt even open until Nov 13).

even with lack of motivation im not doing too shabby. it is definitely easier to lose weight when you weigh more. haha. my lowest adult weight ever was 174, which i got that low after doing WW for a while followed by a nice low carb diet-which i will never do again. the reason for not low carbing is that when i was doing it i was extremely tired all of the time, i would forget everything (horrible for a person with a really great memory) and my period would never leave when i was low carbing. yes i got to my all time lowest weight but at what cost? i stopped low carbing when i got the stomach flu and the idea of eating meat for breakfast made me want to puke.

so my idea for this week is to just track everything and try to get 30 minutes of working out in. this might be a bit harder on the weekends when my step son is over (being that i only have one tv that works and has an area in front of it for me to workout, which is in our livingroom). im hoping this weekend to get outside and rake some leaves, that is a good workout that also gets some chores done. but it poured rain today and id rather not rake up wet leaves (oh the joys of being a home owner).

hopefully weigh in 22 is better than this one. so see that Error thing next to monday? yeah tuesday morning i was adding my food, i usually use most recent cause i eat the same thing most days (for breakfast anyway) and realized that i counted an entire cup of milk for my breakfast. i only have 2 oz in my coffee (1 point vs 3). so that was tuesday morning i realized the issue, and i was like no wonder why i was feeling hungry on monday!!

i wish that my activity link would tell me how many active minutes i have in my summary page. i havent been THAT active. i know i said id be back on task but i just havent been. i blame the period monster.
plus this upcoming friday i lose my current gym membership (im leaving the Y for the new LA fitness, they do not open until Nov 13). i have plenty of workout videos (dvds? i guess they are all DVDs at this point in time) that i could use and i have the kinect. so i dont really have an excuse to not workout.

anyway i just ate a very light lunch for a friday, my brother has my stomach upset. he is going through some issue (homeless apparently and asking to stay with me) but my brother is the type of guy that is like "what is in it for me?" so i gave him an easy way to earn some money this entire summer/fall, mow my lawn, $25 each time. then he stopped doing it back in the beginning of august, cause he hurt his ankle i found out he was subcontracting the work to my cousin that i hate, who is not allowed near me. so that doesnt make sense, if my cousin was doing it why did he stop? he borrowed money about two weeks ago and said he would mow my lawn the following monday, he never showed up. i told him if he borrowed that money from me and didnt do it right away that he was cut off, so he is cut off.

i supplied him with phone numbers of homeless shelters in our area. i will even pick him up and drop him off. but i cannot help him. id like to stay married. (i do feel bad since we have no parents anymore-my brother doesnt speak to my mom-she didnt raise him, he doesnt know her). but those are family issues. so much fun.Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-63849509036888148732013-10-18T10:14:00.000-07:002013-10-18T10:14:00.128-07:00weight watchers weigh in number 19last week: 186.2
this week: 188.2
gain of 2 lbs

im not going to put up my charts this week. pretty much i went away with my husband to see a nine inch nail concert in newark, nj-about 2 hours from where we live, and i said i was going to take a few days off from Weight watchers. sometimes that counting and counting and counting just wears on you. since i had been relatively good since i started back in the middle of june, i was ok with this.

I was off weight watchers once i got home from work on Monday, we went out to eat, i got a lovely turkey burger at a place called the pour house (i live in west chester, pa by the way, the pour house is in exton) that was after dropping my husbands car off for service. the burger was awesome. it was huge, probably 6000 points right there. it came with potato chips (or you can upgrade to fries for a buck, but i figure i only really like beer battered or steak fries, there were shoestring) i ate like 3 chips (they were giant and homemade). i could have done a lot more damage than i did. oh i believe we had ice cream that night too, i got a waffle cone blizzard (probably 8000 points, i got a medium and ate it in one shot).

tuesday was a bit better, normal breakfast (jimmy dean delight). i had sweet sausage for lunch (7 points for the sausage and roll), which this was after signing up for the new la fitness (wont open until nov 13th). probably didnt eat much on tuesday, a lot of the time was spent driving, got really lost so close to the hotel, ended up having a police man stop us at a guard station welcoming us to NJ correctional institute, are we staying? we were like nah, but we need to turn around. at least he had a sense of humor. so by the time we found the hotel room we had about 15 mins to unwind, which i laid on the bed.

then we left, i ended up eating venue food (chicken fingers and soggy fries) my husband had a hot dog. oh and two sodas (24 bucks, let me tell you, the meal we had at the pour house was 28 bucks and i had a lot more food, but whatever, food was in my belly)

the concert itself was awesome. i love nine inch nails. :) our seats were pretty awesome. the opening band was very confusing (just a bunch of instruments).

oh the way back from the concert my husband stopped at mcdonalds i got a mcflurry. oh i havent had one of those in forever. i should mention that im having a lot of cravings for sweets lately. its totally pms creeping up on me. my husband got a meal. i ate one of his french fries (im not a mcdonalds fan) and i told him they didnt taste like i remembered. i cant remember what i thought they tasted like though.

wednesday morning i was up early (i have trouble sleeping on beds that are not mine) and we ended up hitting the free breakfast at the hotel. i had a large bagel toasted with cream cheese. it was awesome. i also had orange juice (not diet or anything) I cant even tell you the last time i had that. i got a coffee but ended up dumping it cause it tasted off (we stopped at a dunkin donuts on the way home and i got a real coffee).

we got home right around lunch time, after i got the puppy unexcited (she love it when i first come home, meanwhile the cats are like yeah whatever-where is my food?) i took her on a carride to get chinese food. dinner was wendy's chilie on the ceaser side salad (no dressing).

i guess when i type it out like this it sounds like a lot of food. but i dont think i overdid it too much. hopefully next week i see 186.0 on the scale. but if not, ill keep plugging away (actually my weight is down a bit from the wednesday night weigh in for my dietbet 10 game).

my weigh out for the jillian michaels dietbet is oct 23rd i think. ok oct 22 actually. i have 4 days to lose 5.7 lbs. i think i might lose this one (that weigh in is a night time weigh in-189.6 actually). :( but we will see.id hate to lose that 30 bucks that i put up.

i need to remind myself, at this point in time im 10 lbs less than i was on my wedding day. im 8 lbs away from my high school weight (i was never a skinny kid). i am 7 lbs lighter than the day i met my husband (did you know i met my husband on eharmony? yeah ill deny that like crazy if you know me in person, but it is the real story). i like seeing the number 1 as the first number in my weight. :)

so i am back on plan starting yesterday. and i plan on going to the gym tonight (possibly?) we didnt go out to dinner last night for my husbands b day (it was pouring rain and he didnt want to drive in it and didnt want me to drive in it). so we might go out tonight, but if we do it is longhorn which i can get an awesome meal for 14 points there. plus my points reset today. so i have a lot of them right now.

oh and since i gained weight i got that point back that i lost last week. haha. YES. so before i can reflect on this i need to point out my lack of activity, i have just been flat out sucking. my left knee hurts when i walk down stairs (only down). last time this happened was years ago, i was given tickets to see a play in new york city from my best guy friend (gay guy i should point out, dont go thinking im cheating on my husband). i hobbled around NYC with a really painful knee issue (using subways in january too-i hate the cold) the play we saw was equus with the guy who plays harry potter and the guy who played uncle vernon from harry potter. and yes i saw harry potter naked. anyway this was shortly after christmas and my husband had given me a gift card to get a swedish massage. so i ended up making that appointment for the following weekend. the lady asked if i had any trouble points so i told her about my weird knee pain. she worked her magic and it didnt hurt again until last weekend (i believe that trip was in 2008, also captain janeway was in the play too and i realize these people have real names).
so my husband is telling me to just go get another swedish massage to get rid of the pain. today is actually the first day that during the day it isnt feeling that weird numbness that i had been feeling. maybe it will fix itself? also i have been looking for some type of gift to myself for completing 10% loss-which i got last week.
so ive been using the knee pain as an excuse to not go workout. lame yes. (i consider myself pretty lazy). good news, my cold is completely gone, not even a sniffle left over, but bad news, the husband got it. i just hope he is better before tuesday. we are going to a concert on tuesday night.
so i have some bad news, since i lost weight this week my daily points target has gone down. RIP pointy. i will miss you. i forget what the lowest points number you can have a day is but im for having more points. also how about free foods (fruit veggies?) do you actually log them when you eat them? i try to remember but sometimes forget, but if they are free does it really matter?

so see this? i thought this was pretty neat. this is my dietbet page. with my BMI showing. it is cool to see that dip happening. my weight on diebet right now is 188, cause im doing at night weigh ins instead of mornings (and last updated on wednesday). WW is a morning weigh in. and just in case you were wondering, i do enjoy a reese's peanut butter cup every day (1 point), they are the ones that are 5 per serving.
so i dont expect for me to get my activity points in for this week coming up, and i dont even expect a loss this upcoming week. it really will depend on if i choose to count points on tuesday and wednesday (two vacation days for the concert and post concert). plus tomorrow we are celebrating my grandmother (in law-trust me people in my family dont live long-only into their 50's and yes it is due to drug/booze abuse-which i dont do) b day at red lobster (i dont like seafood), i found a chicken alfredo (maybe parm?) on the menu and looked it up on my app, the entire thing is 32 points. i hope the plate is giant and i can eat just half of it.
anyway i promise that starting one week from today that i will get back on track with the activelink goals (which why am i paying $5 a month for it if im not using it?).
so if you guys ever have any questions that you want answered just leave them in a comment and ill answer it in the next post (as long as i see it). im not a shy person. the only thing i dont do is post pics of my step son, I would want to get permission from his mom first, and well, then id have to share my blog with her (not that i hide the blog). but my cats/dogs/birds are cool (since im their pet mommy) and i could always ask my husband if he would mind if i share a pic of him, which i dont think he would mind.Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-35447589921168830502013-10-04T11:44:00.000-07:002013-10-04T11:44:44.807-07:00weight watchers weigh in number 17last week: 188.2
see what i get? 10% loss. YAY. but once again im losing too fast. (this time i remembered to take a screen capture). i dont think im losing too fast. i think im good.
so anyway, the charts:

you can see the lack of exercise in the past two weeks. im OK with this. i had a pretty nasty cold (enough that i was eating soup. i dont even like soup but my throat was so raw).
i had my first month weigh in for the beta dietbet 10. my husband takes my photos, so you get some funny outtakes.

( i feel i look skinny here, it probably has to do with my arms being above my head)

blurry hands. i have one from the week i was sick with my hand on my throat (cause it hurts) but photobucket is being a bit of a jerk and not letting me upload (im over my photo limit? i didnt even know there was one). so i do submit real ones for diebet. i hope they enjoy my cats photo bombs though.

this is a pic of me from a few weeks ago. i was trying to take a selfie but i dont know how, so my face is missing. haha. this was at dressbarn, i didnt buy the shirt (i do like it) but i was on lunch break and couldnt find any body to ring me up. dressbarn!!! anyway i just want to prove that i wear normal clothes, not just the pink shorts and tank top (those are my weigh in attire for dietbet, for WW i just weigh in before my shower).
anyway my break down for the week.
29 points per day, 49 weeklies and all activity points eaten
Friday: 51
Saturday: 41
Sunday: 35
Monday: 29
Tuesday: 33
Wednesday: 32
Thursday: 33
Total 254 = 36.3 average
and of course non scale victory: im wearing a size 11 pair of jeans (not my normal style) but i wore them a while back and they were so tight and annoying, so i put them in the back of my drawer, ive been wearing them today and yesterday, they are a little on the lose end. yes i realize i am usually wearing size 10 pants now, but those have a bit of stretch to them (levi's 515 by the way, good for me and my lack of a butt, i should take a pic so you guys could laugh at my non butt).
so lately im annoyed with my hair. i have naturally curly hair, and it falls out often (no long hair for me-thanks thyroid) im not sure if i just need to go a bit shorter the next time i get it cut? the pic of me on the scale is from yesterday, so enjoy my hair there.
i also am shocked with how much i dont age. i could post really old pics on here, and besides my hair length (and maybe weight) i look exactly the same. let me prove it.

ok so this was in 2006 (i was 26) when my friend got married. i was laughing cause my heels were stuck in the grass-that is her mother behind me making fun of me). so i dont normally wear make up but that is me.

same year as the other photo, but a different wedding. my hair when it was longer (see curly). also 26 here (and yes im wolverine with glow sticks and probably really toasted by this point in the night-that is what happens at open bars and hotel rooms. we just had to hobble across a parking lot and go up to our room)

2007 (probably hovering around 180 lbs here).

the day i chopped my hair off (ok so i let my friend puff it out) this was 2007
anyway no one believes that im 33. my guess is the lack of age is due to my extremely pale skin (i like to tell people im almost see thru. i dont go out in the sun, if i do, im sunscreened up-this past summer it was spf 110+, also holding on to a bit of weight makes my face chubbier. and let me think what else, i had braces for 18 months back in 2005-2006, they were taken off the week before my friend got married (the bridesmaid photo). braces really made me look so much younger. i also dont drink or smoke, yes i drink at weddings but that is the only time (if i feel up to it). Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-57683579970199242222013-09-30T10:18:00.001-07:002013-09-30T10:18:45.925-07:00weight loss tips (from an expierenced loser)haha i just thought that was funny to call myself a loser.

Tips for weight loss from Jaime Breeze (anyone else watch a show called auction hunters? they have a guest named jamie breeze-he is an expert on all things british, when i first heard his name i was like WAIT that R moved from Jaimerbees. my last name is not breeze (or even close to that). but its fun to have a different name for a minute (and not be an outlaw).
so i wrote some of these on another site that is not open to the public, so ill edit these to be a little more nice and friendly.

these tips work for me.

1) measure everything- i go through probably a new kitchen scale
every 2 years. i have lots of measuring cups, but i prefer to weigh
things. the newer kitchen scale i got, i dont like. (the button to
toggle between oz/g is under the tray and hard to push without messing
up your weights).
2) always calculate your items BEFORE you eat them. or else you are
like me and crying because you could have had an small caramel sundae
from DQ for 8 points (instead of whatever it was-it always comes down to
that DQ sundae for me).
3) IF you are doing Weight watchers, eat all of your
points. yes when you first start out you are like OH i can live off of
31 points per day, but over time you lose them (and your hunger
returns). i started with 31 points, now im at 29 points per day. i
also got an activelink and i enjoy using it. between weeklies/activity
and dailies i eat around 36-38 points per day. (if anyone wants to see
what i eat let me know ill type it out for a day or two)
4) setbacks happen, move on. get over it. no one is perfect.
5) stick with it. yes i have had a week where i gained 3 lbs (for
some unknown reason) and ive had weeks where i lost nothing (same for
unknown reason) if weight loss was easy everyone would be thin. look
around you. (trust the process).
6) no double counting. as in i am not going to log my food into
myfitnesspal AND weight watchers online. not happening. If im
following the program correctly im eating enough.
7) join a dietbet. OMG losing money is not something that i want to do. so im rocking this dietbet action. :)
same thing with actually joining the real WW online site, i dont want to spend money and not get my monies worth.
8) no extreme dieting, i didnt have this blog back in the day, when i was low carbing (between the curves diet and south beach) i was extremely tired all of the time (going to bed at 8pm) and i forgot everything two seconds after it was told to me (oh and the most TMI part i got my period and it would not go away and yes back then i was on birth control-i dont like month long periods).
9) track non scale victories. yes some weeks suck in the weight loss department but you know what, being told by your doc that your numbers are great and to keep it up is a good incentive (it proves that im doing my body a favor)
im sure there are more.
by the way i should be hitting my 10% loss (from june's first weigh in) 187.74 is my official 10% loss. although i need to admit i dont feel any different than i did at 208.6 lb. im wearing size 10 jeans (down from size 12 that were a bit too tight). my shirts are fitting better and i believe (crossing my fingers) that my boobs have shrunk (they never did in the past and i am not a happy camper with giant boobs). Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-43318810457298906292013-09-27T05:53:00.002-07:002013-09-27T05:53:28.120-07:00Weight watchers weigh in #16 and endocrinologist appointment (NSV)last week: 189.0
this week: 188.2
loss -0.8 lb

i have hit 20 lbs loss since i restarted weight watchers in june (188.6 was my 20 lbs loss) which means that my 10% is right around the corner (187.7). I probably would have made it but i have a nasty cold going on. im actually surprised i didnt show a gain, i havent been working out (it is hard to just breathe right now) but I have been watching what i eat.

before i post fun graphs let me tell you about my endo's appointment. it was on tuesday. my fasting glucose level was 99, which is on the top number of the acceptable range. she did tell me to not take the metformin anymore. that she thinks if i keep losing weight that it will go down even more. she saw a 16 lb loss from the last time i was there (may 31). and she was super proud of me and wants me to keep it up. we did talk about goal weight for a second, she is a doc who isnt concerned with the actual scale number but more of the other numbers. the lab forgot to run my lipids panel, so no cholesterol levels to report, those have always been slightly high (like 250's range) but the good one is usually really good. the reason i see her is my thyroid issues, i have hashimotos disease (it is genetic, if you are of russian decent you more than likely have it, especially if you are female, my dad's mom was right off the boat-i never met her therefore i dont call her grandma, she died when my dad was 16). my levels are great and to continue taking the medicine as i have been. She wants me to continue with WW (she did say whatever plan i want to follow) and see her in December. my mini goal is to be in the 180's on the scale (so means i need to be about 2-3 lbs lighter than i am now) and my plan A goal is to be below 180 (as in the 170's). but sometimes i think if i push myself too hard i fail. my next appointment is dec 30.

so i guess i failed the last week of my activelink challenge. oh well. sometimes life happens. ive been sleeping a lot lately and trying to get over this cold. my endo also called me in (sent in? its all computerized now) a script for a Z pak, which ive been taking. at least the horrible sore throat i had is gone. now im just congested. but overall i feel better. not 100% but better. i just need fluid to drain out of my head.

here are the sweet graphs for you guys (or actually for me for when i look back and go wow i really did it)

anyway send extra healing energies my way. i just hope my body lets go of this head fluid (in my ears and nose) and that i return to normal. Once i can breathe again I will be back at the gym, im thinking tomorrow maybe? or sunday at the latest. and my points break down per day, i get 29 points per day, i eat all weeklies and all activity points
Friday: 63
Saturday: 38
Sunday: 34
Monday: 32
Tuesday: 33
Wednesday: 29*
Thursday: 30
total 259/average of 37 per day.
*for some reason when i was going back through wednesday said i ate 28 points per day, im pretty sure i ate 29, so i dont know what happened there. i fixed it but it was after i got my reports emailed to me.
i am not sure what a visualization trial is or why its written all over my charts. but whatever. i do like my chart for my points per day, there is always a giant spike (which is friday of each week).
overall im happy with my progress. this past week was a bit tougher when it comes to hunger issues. i think part of that is that im feeling just about 100% better from my migraine and another part is hormones, i think they eat the food before it gets to my belly.
so i have a weigh out for a dietbet and a weigh in for a dietbet the same day. i might stagger the weigh in until after i eat a cheat meal. we will see.
also the beta dietbet im in, i have to submit a weigh in by wednesday every week, lately ive just been doing it at night, meanwhile i normally weigh in in the AM. i am actually under my first month goal (first month ends oct 3) so im not worried about it. the only reason i do that in the afternoon is that im really not a morning person, as in i barely wake up with enough time to get ready and put together my food for the day before i head to work (not being a morning person is a REAL thing).
so anyway, a few non scale victories for this week. one involves wearing size 10 jeans out in public. the other involves blood test for my quarterly endo's appointment. my fasting glucose level was 99, it was 104 last time (not a huge difference but 99 is the top end of the "in range" number) i was hoping to report a drop in my cholesterol but it looks like they forgot to add that test on (its on my paperwork, since my doc prints you up a summary). the lady who drew my blood (she rocks at it, you barely feel it) was too busy being like "girl, you look great for 33" so i asked her how old i looked and she said no more than 21. LOL. so i guess we were chatting it up and she wasnt paying attention. she did ask me a few questions about hot tubs (i work for a pool building company so it makes sense). the lady was 55 and looked more like 40. so we have the same condition. i told her that i dont smoke, i dont drink and i dont hang out in the sun. :) that is the secret to keeping young looking.
now im supposed to take medicine to help control my blood sugar, but it causes me extreme butt issues (i refer to it as the oh gads). like ill be fine then the next moment ill be running to the bathroom. maybe that is why they call that the runs? anyway i dont like that random feeling. so i dont take the meds (plus i was only trying them to help me get pregnant, which at this point in time i think is a lost cause-ive only been trying since 2009). IF i get pregnant, which my focus has shifted off of that for now (still not preventing) and i need the meds ill take it. but im not hurting anyone but myself not taking the meds (plus it is for people who have much higher blood sugars than i do). so there are my reports. im really happy with my activelink progress. oh and the reason for the left over 1 point for last week was because i didnt know i had it. ARGH. i dont really understand how every day except thursday my points dont come over until the next day, but on thursday they are thrown in there like oh yeah you got these.
so yeah there is my active link info. looks like im almost done my first challenge.
last week i had a migraine for two days. so i wasnt really feeling it, but i hit my goal every day (slow walking on walk it out).
here are my break downs for the weeks

Two weeks ago:
29 points per day, plus all weeklies and all activity points
Friday: 57
Saturday: 42
Sunday: 35
Monday: 33
Tuesday: 29
Wednesday: 31
Thursday: 32
total 248
Average per day 35.43
loss of 0.8

This past week:
29 points per day, plus all weeklies and all activity points
Friday:56
Saturday: 40
Sunday: 32
Monday: 33
Tuesday: 33
Wedneday: 34
Thursday: 33
total 261
Average per day 37.29
maintained

so im thinking the reason why i maintained is that i was feeling like crap and taking advil like it was going out of style. i honestly am happy maintaining since i felt so bad for a few days. i didnt take any advil yesterday and so far none today and my head feels mostly fine.

so i wanted to jot some ideas down for later use.
Couch to 5k (ive tried this before and was a huge failure, im not even 100% sure that i want to be a runner), if i end up doing that couch to 5k in the spring id like to do a 5K per weekend (either charity or for fun).
hire a personal trainer, someone to help me tone up (the right way)
continue on weight watchers
cut out soda (diet and regular), this one will be horrible. i love my soda but i know its not good for me

so jillian michaels is hosting a dietbet in less than 2 weeks. http://www.dietbetter.com/games/23663 that is the link to it, the buy in is $30. it might be a good way to start a dietbet. they have been making changes on dietbet, they charge 20% of the pot. they used to charge a bit less and charge each person 4.95. but they got rid of that 4.95 fee.
im currently in the beta dietbet 10 (10% in 6 months) it was a steep buy in price, that one is $25 per month and if you pay up front you get 1 month free (and i love a deal) plus you had to buy weigh in tokens, the weigh in tokens are for drawings, they gave away a fitbit flex (i think that is what it was called) this first weigh in week, i did not win that. i had some credits from other dietbet winnings so i use those and paid 88 out of pocket. that game ends march 2. if i hit my goal i will weigh 175.9 lbs. nuts.

Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7130876781701538500.post-17259286487470852342013-09-05T10:51:00.001-07:002013-09-05T10:51:27.386-07:00job offerremember that *thing* i would talk about that is stressing me out and i couldnt talk about it on a public forum? yeah it was a job interview, actually it was 2 phone interviews and two in person interviews. i applied to work as a payroll tax specialist (funny side note here: we had a payroll company come in to try to get our company to sign up and i actually said "im not payroll specialist" this was a day after the offer came through). i applied for a full time position. i said OK to working 7:30 til 4:30 and then OT when needed (quarter endings and end of the year filings). the only reason i even looked for another job is my lack of benefits at my current job.
so the phone call comes through on Tuesday morning, it is the hiring bossman. they want me. but they dont have space and someone else already got the job i applied for. would i be willing to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:30 until 9:30pm to get my foot in the door.
not.what.i.asked.for.
oh and the quote of how much they make yearly is off by like .82 an hour in their favor (guess what? i went to college and know how to do math). oh and since im part time no benefits.
i need to tell them before the end of the working day friday. i tried to call twice today and it just rings and rings and rings.
oh they dont know how long id be part time for, that they promise to move me to full time. yeah dude, ive worked for big companies before, promises mean nothing there. at least in my current position i could go to the owner and be like YOU SAID !!!.
i did ask the hiring bossman if he would be ok with me not taking the position and then just keeping my name on a list and when jobs come up to give me a call. he said that was alright. so that is what im going to do.
i barely have energy for one job, let alone too (i told him i was concerned that im going to be jeopardizing job 1 for job 2).
so today i mentioned it to current bossman. (which is why im able to write about it). i did learn he is happy with me. but we got interrupted by other bossman (also known as his brother).
i was going to ask for a kickback. or a plan on how to get more money. he did tell me that i could work more hours if i wanted to. which he has told me before.
bossman is supposed to be back shortly. then i will try to talk to him about me wanting to purchase my own benefits (i just want to put some money into my IRA account-which apparently when i was laid off at my last job i rolled my 401k into an IRA).
the money offer is about 4 bucks less an hour than I currently make. my money situation isnt horrible, but its not what i made at my job in 2009. im still 7 bucks shy of that amount. and i had full benefits.
im not sure purchasing Short term disability insurance is really worth it. i remember my friend did that when her and her husband were trying for a baby (and she had one) but the amount she got back was less than she contributed to the fund, after the fact she was like "i could have just put the money in an account myself" so yeah.
weigh in day tomorrow, as for this morning i was the same as i was last week on weigh in day. so lets hope that me making this decision unstresses my body out and it lets go of some weight.
by the way i got my 2nd weight loss compliment yesterday. i went and got my hair cut and colored and my friend who does it was like whoa, where did this go (as she points to my belly area). LOL. i really only see her to get my hair cut (i tried to get that friendship to work, but she is a crazy workout nut that spends her extra time biking, running or swimming). i did get to hear her awesome ironman experience (she did it in july).Jaimerbeeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02653824153894409687noreply@blogger.com0
